Chaverim is an umbrella of volunteer not-for-profit organizations established in many neighborhoods to assist local community members.

Interstate Chaverim is comprised of volunteers from the existing Chaverim branches to provide help in areas not covered by a local Chaverim organization. Often people unfortunately require Chaverims assistance unexpectedly while away from home and are unaware that there might be a Chaverim Organization in their proximity, for example, within just a one hour drive in the tri-state area, you might be passing by several different Chaverim coverage areas and most people wouldnt know who to call. Additionally, when out of their hometown, most people don’t have the local Chaverim number handy. Quite often people dont even know exactly where they are, all they see is a long highway with no signs indicating their location.
